Morning Tea and Raffle for Global MS Awareness Day, 30 May 2025

To celebrate Global MS Awareness Day we are raffling a gorgeous quilt titled 'Sailing Along The Coast'. The raffle will be drawn at a shared morning tea we are hosting in Johnsonville to mark Global MS Awareness Day at 10am on Friday 30 May 2025.

The theme for Global MS Awareness Day 2025 is 'My MS Diagnosis', focusing on advocating for early and accurate diagnosis for everyone living with MS. The day aims to raise awareness, share real stories, and highlight the challenges faced by those living with MS.

Raffle tickets are on sale now through your Community Advisor and at our regular meetings (coffee mornings). Tickets cost $2 each or you can buy 3 for $5.

Follow this link if you would like to skip to the section about the Morning Tea.

The Raffle

The gorgeous quilt has been handcrafted by Valerie Cameron of Kapiti, and donated to WMS to help raise funds towards the vital free mobile service we provide to PwMS in greater Wellington. A big thank you to Valerie for the very generous donation. There will be a second prize of a Wellington MS T-shirt, which is currently being designed.

The raffle will be drawn at our WMS morning tea in Johnsonville on Global MS Awareness Day, Friday 30 May 2025. See full details in the section below.

You can see a photo of the quilt in the image below.

Image description: The beautiful quilt handcrafted by Valerie Cameron. A myriad of patchwork squares in fawn, blues, whites and blacks including some with coastal themes such as birds or fish, form the centrepiece of the quilt which is surrounded by a black outline and a fawn coloured border. The quilt is intricately stitched with designs that reflect the swirls of coastal air and sea.

You can buy tickets for $2 each or 3 tickets for $5.

Your Community Advisor will be selling tickets at the upcoming support groups or feel free to email info@mswellington.org.nz or one of the team with your order.

You can pay for your tickets by cash at the support group or alternatively by bank transfer to The Wellington Multiple Sclerosis Society at BNZ 020560-0205899-00.
