Progression in MS webinar (please note this is happening tomorrow (Wednesday) 22nd September)

The NZ Multiple Sclerosis Research Trust is pleased to announce the next webinar in the 2021 series with a focus on MS and Progression. This webinar will be held this coming Wednesday 22nd September and is free to register. There will be the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers at the end of the session.  For all the details, follow the below link;

Transport to your Covid 19 vaccination

From Monday 20 September, Metlink will be offering free travel on buses and trains to anyone getting their COVID-19 vaccination.

On the day of your vaccination visit – simply show your booking confirmation, otherwise let your bus driver or train manager know you are heading to or from your vaccination and take your seat.  If using buses or trains is not an option for you, Metlink are encouraging people to contact them directly on 0800 801 700 to arrange community transport to and from your vaccination centre.

MS Wellington at Alert level 2

Just a reminder about what is available to you at the current Alert level 2.  As Community Advisors we are still available by remote contact.  You can contact us by phone, email or video conferencing and we look forward to hearing from you.  Face to face support groups do not take place under level 2.

Movement and Breathing Better Webinar

This webinar is part of the “Overcoming MS, Finding hope series.”  The session will take place on September 28th at 8pm BST via Zoom.    The session will include a presentation and Q&A led by Gillian Robinson, Lead Physiotherapist from the MS Therapy Centre in Lothian

Topics include an interview with Nick Brandon, discussing the changes he has experienced with MS; and an interview with Nikki Regnault talking about her experience of undergoing HSCT (Hematopoietic stem cell therapy).
