MS Awareness Week Street & Supermarket Collection 2024
It's MS Awareness Week from 9 - 15 September 2024, which means its time for another Street and Supermarket Collection.
Once again, our efforts will be targeted towards Wellington CBD streets and supermarkets around the region, along with a digital campaign.
Many of our collectors last year really enjoyed being involved and connecting with others in the MS community. We're incorporating some of the very useful feedback we were given into our planning for this year, such as having more than one collector at a time.
Unfortunately, the amazing volunteer who looked after the two Wellington supermarket collections last year can't help us this time around and, as some of you know, we're filling a couple of vacant posts at present - so we're an even smaller team than usual. That is making supporting some areas even more challenging than usual.
Volunteers wanted
We are still looking for volunteers to collect for an hour or two at any of the sites below.

Have fun and look after yourselves
We want everyone who collects for us to enjoy themselves and we want the public and store owners to feel our collectors have been respectful and considerate too. If you'd like to help but are not able to, that's fine - we DO understand. We don't want anyone to overdo it and we don't anyone to go without essentials to make a donation either.
We'd like our collectors to mind their own safety and well-being and that of others. There is still lots of nasty bugs around including Covid so wear a mask if you need to and use hand sanitiser often.
Thanks for supporting our important work. The funds raised will support our work enabling PwMS in greater Wellington to live their best lives!
